Introduction to Seiðr with Angelica Archangelica

During weekend workshop intensive, we will drop into a sacred space of connection and communion with plant spirit Angelica archangelica. We will work with Angelica through smoke, tea, tincture, guided journeys, sound healing baths and transmissions, mediumship and the ancient art of Seiðr. Angelia teaches us how to be sovereign unto ourselves. They teach us that when our light is bright within, we are protected. Angelica teaches the art of being a “hollow bone” and how to safely become a conduit for benevolent spirits and allies to be channeled through us.

With Angelica as out guide, participants will then be introduced to the ancient Old Norse art of Seiðr.  Seiðr ritual works with staff as a sacred tool for journeying. This ancient craft is a form of divination, healing, conjuring, weaving the fates and much more. Participants will also be introduced to galðr (the use of sound/song in magical practice), and other Norse practices to deepen your ritual practices.

In this course you will:

-Learn tools to cultivate and deepen your intuition

-Cultivate a relationship with the plant spirit Angelica archangelica

-Learn the Angelica arachangelica materia medica

-Learn how to work with Angelica archangelica as a magical healing ally

-Be introduced to seiðr staff-journey method

-Be introduced to galðr (the use of sound/song in magical practice)

-Receive training in trance-mediumship (individual, partner and group practices - including oracular seiðr)

-Receive a framework for personal ritual practice

-Discuss spiritual hygiene, strengthening personal boundaries, and how to develop healthy and discerning relationships with the spirits.

Location: Duncan, BC (address given upon registration) 

*Each participant will bring their own staff and hood. Directions on how to find your staff in nature and prepare for this course will be sent upon registration.

*This course is offered in the spirit of inclusiveness. You do not need to identify with any particular ancestral, cultural or spiritual affiliation to participate. Participants of all ancestral backgrounds are welcome.

Prerequisites: experience with intuitive journey work is helpful but not required.

While we strive to be accessible and inclusive to all, a limited number of scholarships are available, and range between 25-75% of the cost.
